Ziggie Smalls have an exciting new-look front page to their website. Formally the website was built in Flash due to the high demand of animation and other little quirks. The time has now come for a shift to HTML and PHP with a high dose of SEO.
SEO (search engine optimisation) means that the page is now sensitive to search engines in an attempt to gain higher rankings when surfers type in the desired key words for Ziggie Smalls Children’s Boutique.

The new web page has a few new features including a Cloud Tag and Product Search. The Cloud Tag is built from frequently occurring Tags in the various blogs to indicate to the user what sort of content they are likely to find. The more that Tag appears the bigger it gets! You can also search for any product you like using a comprehensive search across the entire shop - what a nice touch!
The page has been built by Creative Venom and Decode UK offering a fronting page built to the latest standards of HTML, CSS and complies to AAA WAI accessibility standards.

Ziggie is off to sunny South London to attend the annual Barnes Fair. If you are in the area, please feel free to join us, as we will be selling lots of goodies from our current collection. In keeping with this years “think green” theme we will be putting our Blue Peter skills to good use and creating a range of special one-off pieces made from recycled materials. In the name of charity we will be donating a £50 Ziggie gift voucher to the voucher tree.

Ziggie has made a new friend in the extremely talented Marion Rhoades; an experienced designer and illustrator…her amazing murals can be seen in the background of images in the Ziggie Smalls section of our site. This autumn sees an exciting union when we join forces to produce a range of beautiful bed linen and home wares which will showcase in our forthcoming collection, so watch this space!
In the meantime Marion continues to enjoy an eclectic mix of design commissions including bespoke murals for nurseries, shops or bedrooms alike. Commissions welcome. Please see the link below for more information.

In 2004, whilst traveling through India and South East Asia, Alice was captivated by the abundance of bright colours, patterns and textures around her, and so began filling her bags with a glorious (and very heavy!) collection of glittering beads, fabrics and trims.
On her return to London, many of Alice’s close friends were starting their own little families. So, armed with her gigantic trunk of treasures as inspiration, she set about creating a special range of customised clothing and accessories to give as gifts in celebration.
Carrie, a lifelong friend, was in New York expecting her first child at the time. When Alice sent her a parcel of goodies to celebrate the birth of Scarlet, Carrie was so amazed, she wanted to share them with the world! An enthusiastic duo emerged with the creation of Ziggie Smalls, their own independent boutique offering quality, bespoke pieces for a new generation.
